Design Engineer

The Design Engineer at Control Service Company is responsible for hardware design, initial database and graphic generation using CSC established standards for control systems to meet the intent of the project requirements. Provide accurate control drawings that will allow proper field installations and control of equipment.

• Initial job review, validate all documents/submittals have been received.
• Coordinates the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation team.
• Manage mechanical/electrical drawings; keep office and field personnel up to date.
• Specification and drawing review.
• Generate graphics orders to ALC
• Generate control drawings using Microsoft Visio.
• Generate database using sitebuilder.
• Manages the selection, ordering, budget and delivery schedules of material for assigned projects.
• Manage control drawings, generate constructions drawings. Add change orders as needed.
• Generate Submittal and O&M Documents.
• Communicate regular progress reports for project managers and clients.
• Generate parts order, selects and orders the delivery of material for assigned projects coordinates factory-mounting processes to meet factor and project schedule.
• Size Valves and Damper Actuators.
• Check In Graphics and Order Elevations.
• Generate Visio Standards.
• Generate Internal Engineering Processes.
• Manage Construction Drawings.
• Specification Review.
• Generate RFI.
• Generate/Review Sequence of Operations.
• Manage Working Drawings/Change Orders.
• Manage Multiple Projects with Competing Priorities.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• A creative approach for generating new ideas.
• A sound knowledge of Visio and MS Office software.
• An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles.
• 3 + years’ experience in design builds construction and HVAC highly preferred.
