When choosing a fire alarm partner, the equipment is only part of the decision. The experience and technical depth of the people designing, installing, and supporting that system can be just as important.
Control Service Company’s Fire & Security team includes NICET Level IV, Level III, and Level II certified professionals, along with engineers who provide full in-house Design Engineering services for our systems.
That combination gives CSC the ability to look beyond an individual panel or device and consider how the fire alarm system needs to function within the building as a whole, both today and as the facility changes.

More Than an Installation: The Expertise Behind Life Safety
Why Does That Matter to Our Customers?
A fire alarm system doesn’t stop needing attention once installation is complete.
Buildings change. Spaces are renovated. Occupancies evolve. Systems expand. Equipment ages. Inspections uncover deficiencies. Eventually, every facility will need to make decisions about repairs, expansion, upgrades, or modernization.
Having that technical depth within the same team allows CSC to support customers throughout the lifecycle of their systems.
Our capabilities include system evaluation, in-house design and engineering, installation, programming, commissioning, inspection and testing, integration, service, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.
When a complicated issue arises in the field, our technicians have additional expertise behind them. When an existing system needs to expand, our team can evaluate how those changes affect the larger system. And when aging equipment needs to be modernized, we can survey the existing system and help develop a plan for both physical equipment upgrades and programming or operational adjustments.
That support isn’t limited to systems CSC originally installed. Both new and existing customers can benefit from our inspection, integration, engineering, and modernization capabilities.
Engineering Support From Concept Through Completion
Our in-house Design Engineering capabilities allow CSC to become involved early in the process.
Working from the building and project plans provided by owners, general contractors, and project teams, our engineers design the systems needed to serve the facility. This allows us to consider system requirements, building operations, integration needs, future expansion, and long-term serviceability before installation begins.
That expertise continues after the design is complete.
By bringing engineering, NICET-certified professionals, installation, programming, commissioning, and service together within CSC, we can maintain continuity from the original system design through long-term support.
For our customers, the goal is simple: one team that understands where your system has been, how it needs to perform today, and where it needs to go next.
Supporting Existing Systems. Installing for the Future
Not every customer comes to CSC with a new building or a new fire alarm system.
Our team can inspect existing fire alarm systems, evaluate current conditions, and integrate fire alarm with other building systems where appropriate. This gives both new and longtime CSC customers access to our Fire & Security expertise, even when CSC wasn’t responsible for the original installation.
For new fire alarm installations and modernization projects, CSC supports Edwards fire alarm technology. We’ve chosen to align our installation capabilities with Edwards because we believe the platform provides the performance, flexibility, and integration capabilities that best complement our building automation expertise and serve our customers over the long term.
That combination is particularly important to CSC. Fire alarm doesn’t have to be treated as an isolated piece of a facility. Our experience across building automation, HVAC controls, and other building systems gives us a broader understanding of how these technologies can work together.
