National Bio-Agro Defense Facility

Overview

Control Service Company partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture to support ongoing system upgrades at the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF), a state-of-the-art biosafety level 4 research laboratory focused on protecting the nation’s agriculture, food supply, and public health. As a highly secure federal facility conducting critical research on zoonotic and foreign animal diseases, NBAF requires precise, reliable, and compliant building systems.

Following challenges with a previous controls provider, CSC was selected to take over portions of the project based on the proven reputation of our Manhattan team. Our scope includes completing a boiler controls upgrade, incorporating water pump controls and enhanced system functionality to support safe and efficient facility operations.

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, CSC technicians underwent extensive federal background checks prior to performing work on-site. While specific project details remain confidential, this effort reflects CSC’s ability to deliver trusted, high-level support within complex and secure environments.
