BRADENTON, FL., June 9, 2025- Edwards, a global leader in fire alarm, mass notification and hazard warning systems, today introduced the Edge fire alarm platform, a next-generation control panel and fire safety system engineered specifically to bring Edwards technology innovation and sophistication to mid-sized applications. The Edge fire alarm platform gives installers the tools to support a wide range of building designs in a cost-efficient manner. With 10 amps of onboard power and patented Voltage Boost™ technology, the system enables longer wire runs and reduces hardware. Additionally, with six fully virtual switches included with the base panel and the ability to add up to 72 physical switches and LEDs, all controlled through an easy-to-use touchscreen display, the user can quickly and easily enable or disable multiple zones, functionalities or alerts as needed.

The intuitive touchscreen and simplified operation of the Edge platform reduces operator training time and allows the user to quickly understand panel status, enhancing service call communications. The 10-inch display also reduces the number of steps needed to change panel settings or access reports by up to 45%.
Edge is designed to be backward compatible and protect organizational investment by enabling regular additions and upgrades to increase functionality and extend the life of the panel. Upgrades to enable networking features and integrated voice capabilities are planned for future release.
Edwards introduced the Edge platform to their Strategic Partners at the Edwards Million Dollar Club Conference on May 20, 2025. The system is available for purchase immediately.
