Tower Two Project

The Tower 2 renovation at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission was a transformative project aimed at modernizing the six-story hospital tower while maintaining critical healthcare operations. Originally built in 1972, the 100,000 sq. ft. facility required extensive structural upgrades to align with AdventHealth’s commitment to high-quality patient care. The renovation project delivered 144 patient rooms designed to enhance staff efficiency, patient comfort, and overall healthcare delivery.
Control Service Company (CSC) played a pivotal role in the project by providing a state-of-the-art Building Management System (BMS) that integrated seamlessly with essential hospital systems. Despite AdventHealth’s corporate specification for Johnson Controls, CSC’s strong relationship and proven performance in the Midwest secured Automated Logic as the BMS provider for this project.

· Operational Continuity: The hospital remained fully operational throughout the renovation, requiring a carefully phased approach.
· Advanced System Integration: CSC integrated BMS controls with the Medical Gas Alarm system and Lighting Controls to ensure efficiency and safety.
· High Standards of Care: The project aimed to enhance patient comfort while maintaining the highest standards of clinical operation.

CSC implemented a robust Automated Logic WebCTRL system to manage:
· 150 Fan Powered Boxes
· 111 Variable Air Volume (VAV) Boxes
· 4 Exhaust Fans
· Medical Gas Alarm System Integration
· Lighting Control Integration
WebCTRL provided an intuitive and user-friendly platform that allowed AdventHealth’s facilities team to monitor and manage climate control, alarms, and lighting from a centralized interface. Additionally, its energy-efficient programming helped optimize HVAC performance while ensuring a comfortable environment for patients and staff.
